While at LINQ, I led the development of a design system called Snackpaq in Adobe XD. This design system was created from scratch to address the company’s need for rapid mock-up development and visual consistency across all products. Given LINQ’s acquisition-driven growth strategy, it was essential to create a system that could integrate new software platforms while maintaining uniformity across the brand. Snackpaq was designed to empower development teams to quickly build and prototype designs, ensuring that products remained cohesive and visually aligned.
At LINQ, I had the opportunity to work on the Food Distribution Platform (FDP), which is used by 23 states to manage food distribution across school districts. My role involved designing and improving several key areas of the platform, including the login system, dashboard, participation agreements between states and school districts, and the food ordering survey. The project aimed to streamline the user experience for state and district administrators, ensuring that the system was easy to navigate and supported the efficient management of food distribution programs.
While working on Titan, a school nutrition management platform under LINQ, I led the redesign of the upload mapping system. This tool was crucial for users who needed to upload various files (such as menus, invoices, and nutritional data) and map them correctly to the appropriate sections of the system. The goal of the redesign was to simplify and speed up the process, allowing users to custom map files directly within the platform, reducing errors and enhancing the efficiency of data imports.
As the Design Manager at LINQ, I was responsible for leading several major design initiatives for their ERP and Accounting system. This included the creation of a dynamic reporting feature that allowed users to build custom reports, the development of a new Purchase Order module to streamline outdated processes, the redesign of the payroll flow to improve user experience, and the creation of a new accounting module for schools to track and report financial data back to their districts. These initiatives focused on improving usability, efficiency, and data management for school administrators and staff.
While working at World Travel Holdings, I led the complete redesign of the Villas of Distinction website, a premier villa rental service for luxury vacationers. The project focused on creating an enhanced user experience and visual overhaul to make it easier for users to discover, explore, and book luxury villas worldwide. My role involved everything from user research and persona development to wireframing, prototyping, and guiding the design process to completion. The redesign aimed to improve usability, conversion rates, and SEO performance to better align with the client’s business goals.
Check Into Cash, a leading payday loan provider, needed a comprehensive redesign of their loan management system to streamline operations, improve user experience, and enhance customer engagement. As the Lead UX Researcher and Front-End Developer, I was tasked with rebuilding the loan management platform from the ground up, focusing on both the user interface and the underlying front-end infrastructure. The new system aimed to simplify the loan origination process, reduce operational inefficiencies, and enable real-time loan tracking for customers, resulting in a more seamless loan management experience.
While working at Check Into Cash as the Lead UX and Front-End Developer, we encountered a significant issue with email campaigns. Our marketing team’s email IP had been blacklisted, resulting in poor email engagement rates, despite showing high delivery statistics. To address this, I worked closely with the marketing and technical teams to devise and implement a comprehensive email deliverability improvement plan. The goal was to recover the IP’s reputation, improve inbox placement rates, and restore the email marketing strategy’s effectiveness.
